Our Office Hours

Human Resource Services and Development (HRSD) is located in Room 219 of the Harry S Truman State Office Building in Jefferson City, Missouri. Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may call (573) 751-1291 if you have questions.

How to Apply

Apply for Vacancy Form

If you are interested in a current opening and have an active application on file, you may complete the Apply for Vacancy form. The Apply for Vacancy form allows you to apply for multiple vacancies at the same time. Although you may have a current application on file with our office, you will not automatically be considered for a position without submitting this form.

Application

In order to be considered for employment, the Department of Revenue requires that prospective employees have an active application on file. Your application is active for one year. The Department of Revenue employment application may be filled out online, you may click here to go directly to the Online Application.

Once you have completed an application, your application remains active for one year from the date completed. At the end of one year, your application becomes inactive and you must submit a new application to apply for future posted positions. You will receive a letter notifying you and giving you the option to complete a new application, if desired.

Hiring Process

At the end of the job's posting period, a copy of your application, along with any other requested information, will be sent to the division/bureau that posted the vacancy. The hiring division/bureau will contact applicants selected for an interview. The applicant selected for hire will receive confirmation noting the position title, salary, and expected starting date of employment.

Notice to Applicants: The Department of Revenue will only notify applicants who are chosen for an interview. Notification for interviews will be via telephone. Due to the volume of applications received, applicants not chosen for an interview will not receive any notification from the department.
