Jefferson City’s Southridge license office to be closed Thursday and Friday

JEFFERSON CITY – As previously announced by the Missouri Department of Revenue, the Jefferson City state-run branch office at 1617 Southridge Drive will close at the end of business Wednesday, June 15, and will reopen on Monday, June 20, as a contract office.  Gary Wilbers will be the contract agent for the Jefferson City office and will continue to operate at the Southridge Drive location.

For any license or motor vehicle business that must be completed before June 20, area customers should visit the branch office on or before Wednesday, June 15.  For any business that may be completed June 20 or later, customers are encouraged to visit the reopened license office on or after June 20.

“Customer service is our first priority,” said department director Trish Vincent.  “I would ask our customers for their cooperation and patience with this short two day closure.”

The state Central Branch office in the Truman Building, 301 W. High Street, will continue to serve all Missourians by being open 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Due to having only one office to serve the Jefferson City area on Thursday, June 16, and Friday, June 17, the department will apologize in advance if it takes longer than normal to complete your transaction due to volume.  Motor Vehicle transactions may be completed in Room 370, and Driver Licensing may be found in Room 480.  Parking meters are available around the Truman Building on High Street and Broadway and toward the east end of Lot #9 (just west of the Truman Building).
