Computer System Upgrades Require License Offices to Interrupt Driver License Processing on Saturday, October 1

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Revenue announced today that due to scheduled upgrades to the driver license computer system, contract license offices will be unable to conduct driver license transactions on Saturday, October 1.  Motor vehicle transactions will not be affected.

Customers will not be able to renew or obtain a driver license, nondriver license or instruction permit on Saturday, October 1. However, customers needing to obtain or renew a motor vehicle license plate or obtain plate tabs will be able to do so.

Not all local contract offices are scheduled to be open every Saturday. Prior to making a trip on Saturday, customers are encouraged to call their local contract office to ensure the office will be open on Saturday, October 1. Contact information, office locations, and office hours are available on the department’s website at http://www.dor.mo.gov/mvdl/offloc/.
