Director of Revenue Announces Brookfield Contract Agent
JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Department of Revenue Director Trish Vincent today announced the tentative appointment of Heidi Martin as the agent of the Brookfield contract office.
“I am excited to announce Heidi Martin as the new agent,” said Vincent. “Customer service is the department’s number one priority, and I know she shares that as a priority.”
As part of a new process recommended by Gov. Matt Blunt, agents are required to submit a business plan demonstrating their commitment to meeting the needs of Missouri citizens. This “Contract Agent’s Plan for Success” will outline details from financial responsibilities to office operations. The Plan for Success also formalizes each agent’s vision for carrying out the technical responsibilities of the contract.
The contract requires agents to hold Saturday office hours, establishes penalties and financial responsibility for errors, sets notary law as a standard of operation, and requires agents to submit all deposits and reports each day to the department.
Contract offices serve Missourians by conducting department business for a per transaction fee as defined by state law.
The appointment will not be final until a completed contract is in place. Office locations, hours of operation, and scheduled transition dates will be published when the contract is finalized.
