Revenue Department Announces Harrisonville Contract Office Bid Award
JEFFERSON CITY – Today the Missouri Department of Revenue announced the second contract office bid award from the department’s pilot project at the Harrisonville contract office in Cass County.
“I am pleased to announce the contract for the Harrisonville office has been awarded to Tracy Zahnd, doing business as Red Moon Enterprises,” said Revenue Director Trish Vincent. “Tracy has operated the Parkville office for two years, and has run a customer-friendly, service-minded license office. Tracy and Red Moon Enterprises can operate the Harrisonville office in the same way.”
As part of its proposal, Red Moon Enterprises has pledged to give $2,500 annually to a Kansas City area charity, Synergy Services. Synergy Services is an organization that provides emergency shelter, crisis hotlines, residential services, advocacy, mentoring, and counseling to children and families.
Representatives from three state agencies participated in the review process, and recommended Red Moon Enterprises over two other bidders. The procurement file, including copies of the proposals and an evaluation report, will be available for review through the Office of Administration’s website at http://www.oa.mo.gov/purch/webimaging/Homepage.htm by searching for the Bid Number, B3Z07127.
The department has instituted changes across the board to improve service, requiring potential contract agents to submit business plans, adding Saturday hours, and ending taxpayer subsidies that agents received during the previous administration such as free paper, postage, and fax lines.
