Revenue Department Announces Potosi Contract Office Bid Award

JEFFERSON CITY – Today the Missouri Department of Revenue announced the third contract office bid award resulting from the state’s open, competitive bid process for one of Missouri’s 183 motor vehicle and driver license offices.

“I am pleased to announce the contract for the Potosi license office has been awarded to Kathleen Marler,” said Revenue Director Trish Vincent. “Kathleen has managed the operations of the Greenville office. She is customer-friendly and service-minded, and supports our commitment to provide exceptional customer service to everyone we serve.”

As part of the proposal, Ms. Marler has pledged $2,000 annually to two St. Louis area charitable organizations: American Cancer Society and Ronald McDonald House Charity.

The Office of Administration, Division of Purchasing and Materials Management, managed the procurement and evaluation process which resulted in the recommendation of Ms. Marler over two bidders. The procurement file, including copies of the proposals and evaluation report, will be available for review through the Office of Administration’s website at http://www.oa.mo.gov/purch/webimaging/Homepage.htm by searching for Bid Number, B3Z07230.

The department has instituted changes across the board to improve service, requiring potential contract agents to submit business plans, adding Saturday hours, and ending taxpayer subsidies that agents received during the previous administration such as free paper, postage, and fax lines.
