Tax Assistance Center Ready to Help Taxpayers at 3400 B Knipp Drive

        JEFFERSON CITY – After relocating its Jefferson City Tax Assistance Center in May to reduce costs, the Missouri Department of Revenue today reminded mid-Missourians about the tax help available in the office at 3400 B Knipp Drive, behind the Wildwood Crossings Shopping Center.

        Customers may visit the Tax Assistance Center for help with tax return preparation, to submit tax payments, register businesses, obtain retail sales tax licenses, and attend business tax training seminars.

        In April of 2005, the department extended its hours to provide customer service from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  In addition to visiting the department’s Tax Assistance Center, customers may call (573) 751-3505 for personal tax questions, (573) 751-7191 for business tax questions, or email dormail@dor.mo.gov.

        The department’s website at www.dor.mo.gov contains answers to hundreds of frequently asked tax questions.
