Joplin Tax Assistance Center Closed Until Further Notice

        JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Revenue announced today that the Joplin Tax Assistance Center will be closed until further notice. Ice and snow from recent storms have created potentially unsafe roof conditions at the building at 1110 East 7th Street, Suite 400.

        An inspection of the roof will occur on Wednesday, January 17, and more information regarding the building’s inhabitability will be known at that time.

        Additionally, the Springfield Tax Assistance Center does not have electric service and is closed. Personal tax inquiries should be directed to (573) 751-3505, while business tax questions should be directed to (573) 751-7191.
