Revenue Department Announces Richmond Contract Office Bid Awarded

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Revenue (Department) today announced the fourth motor vehicle and driver license contract office bid awarded.

“I am pleased to announce the contract for the Richmond office has been awarded to Ben & Darla's Enterprise, LLC,” said Revenue Director Omar Davis. “Ben Wierzbicki has done a great job with the Excelsior Springs contract office, and by filling in as the interim agent of the Richmond contract office, the service to our customers in Ray County has not been interrupted. Ben and Darla Wierzbicki have a history of providing excellent customer service and I am confident that this will continue with this contract office.”

“This open process has been good for state government and good for customers,” said Gov. Matt Blunt. “With this competitive process we are providing a more open government while ensuring that Missourians receive high quality customer service at the state's contract offices.”

Representatives from the Department participated in the review process, and recommended Ben & Darla's Enterprise, LLC as the best choice for its citizens.

The competitive Contract Office Bid process began in December 2006 and has led to six contracts awarded or pending through the open bid process, helping to improve customer service and cut costs. Competitive awards have been announced or are pending in: West County, Harrisonville, Potosi, Richmond, Vandalia, and Savannah.
