Revenue Department Announces Memphis Contract Office Request for Proposal

SCOTLAND COUNTY – Today the Missouri Department of Revenue (Department) announced that the motor vehicle and driver license contract office in Memphis will be the subject of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to engage the public in an open, competitive bid process for operation of the license office.

The RFP details requirements for confidentiality, personnel training, office facility and equipment needs, sales and service, security and record keeping. “We set a high standard for customer service,” said Director of Revenue Omar Davis. “We are always looking to our offices for ways to improve customer service and the bid process continues to help us to achieve this goal.”

The Memphis Contract Office will be closed for inventory on June 11, 12, and 13, 2008, and will open up under interim contract agent, Lisa Grubb, on Monday, June 16, 2008. The office will remain at 103 South Main, Memphis.  The office hours will be Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Customers needing to take care of motor vehicle or driver license business on June 11, 12 or 13, 2008, may contact one of the following, surrounding contract offices:

A copy of the RFP will be posted by mid-June at https://www.moolb.mo.gov. The Department has instituted changes across the board to improve service, requiring potential contract agents to submit business plans, and ending taxpayer subsidies that agents received during the previous administration such as free paper, postage, and fax lines.
