March 26 is Deadline to Submit Bids for Chesterfield License Office
JEFFERSON CITY - Interested groups or individuals will have until later this month to bid to operate the Chesterfield License Office.
The Office of Administration has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) asking for bids to manage the license office. The license office is currently located at 1711 Clarkson Rd. in Chesterfield.
The deadline for submitting a bid for the license office is 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26.
Prospective contractors can submit bids that use the current office location or that propose a new license office location. Proposed license office locations must be within the city limits of Chesterfield.
People or groups interested in submitting a bid to operate the license office may take a tour of the current facility at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14.
During Fiscal Year 2012 (July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012), there were 92,855 transactions conducted at the office, and $320,570 in contractor processing fees were generated.
Common transactions that take place at local license offices include renewing or applying for a driver license, renewing or applying for registration on motor vehicles, boats and outboard motors, and applying for titles and paying sales taxes on these units.
