Driver Licensing Checklist
You must have the following documents with you when you apply and pay for a Missouri driver license, instruction permit, or nondriver identification card.
- New Missouri Resident (with an out-of-state driver license)
- New Missouri Instruction Permit or Driver License (first-time driver)
- Office Locations and Hours
- Other Information about the Missouri Driver License
Out-of-State driver license (valid, or expired no more than 184 days). If the out-of-state driver license is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you may instead submit a current Clearance Letter from that state.
Driver Examination Record (Form 100) from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) indicating successful completion of tests (not required for nondriver identification card)
If you are age 15 to age 18, please read the Graduated Driver License Law information.
You may be required to present acceptable documents for Proof of Name, Date of Birth, and Place of Birth, Proof of Social Security Number, and Proof of Missouri Residential Address.
You may apply and pay for a replacement driver license or nondriver license at any Missouri license office.
