July 30, 2012Aug. 24 is Deadline to Submit Proposals to Manage New London License Office
JEFFERSON CITY - Interested groups or individuals will have until Aug. 24 to bid to operate the New London License Office.
The Office of Administration issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) on Friday asking for bids to manage the license office. The office is located at 112 E. Fourth St. in New London. Prospective agents can submit a bid that uses the same office space or propose a new location within New London.
People interested in submitting a bid to operate the license office may take a tour of the current facility from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
During Fiscal Year 2011 (July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011), the New London License Office conducted 17,414 transactions and generated $63,245 in agent processing fees.
Common transactions that take place at local license offices include renewing or applying for a driver license, renewing or applying for registration on motor vehicles, boats and outboard motors, and applying for titles and paying sales taxes on these units.
