February 14, 2014Trenton License Office contract awarded
JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Trenton License Office to the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce has been the contractor of the Trenton License Office since 1981. The Trenton License Office will remain at its current location at 617 Main St.
In fiscal year 2013, more than 19,000 transactions were conducted at the Trenton office, generating more than $64,000 in agent processing fees.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
