January 23, 2014Moberly License Office contract awarded
JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Moberly License Office to Doug & Cheri LLC of Moberly. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
Doug & Cheri LLC has been the contractor of the Moberly License Office since 2009. The business also operated the Moberly office from 2003 to 2005. The Moberly License Office will be located at a new location at 521 W. Coates.
In fiscal year 2013, more than 47,000 transactions were conducted at the Moberly office, generating approximately $157,000 in agent processing fees. Doug & Cheri LLC's contract includes an annual commitment to return 3.75 percent (approximately $5,900) of future processing fees to the state.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
