Kingston License Office contract awardedJEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Kingston License Office to Melissa S Prater of Kingston. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Kingston License Office will remain at its current location at 49 E. Main St.
In fiscal year 2013, more than 10,500 transactions were conducted at the Kingston office, generating approximately $35,000 in agent processing fees. Prater's contract includes an annual commitment to return 0.12 percent (approximately $42) of future processing fees to the state.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
