Chesterfield License Office Contract Awarded to Mid-America Transplant Services

JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Chesterfield License Office to Mid-America Transplant Services of St. Louis.  All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.  The winning bid for this license office was one of six submitted.

Mid-America Transplant Services, founded in 1974, is a not-for-profit organization that procures organs and tissues for transplant surgeries in an 84-county area in Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.  It also operates the Maplewood and Northside License Offices.

The Chesterfield License Office will remain at its current location of 1711 Clarkson Rd.

In Fiscal Year 2012, there were 92,855 transactions conducted at the Chesterfield office, generating $320,570 in agent processing fees.  Mid-America Transplant Services' contract includes an annual commitment to return 10 percent (about $32,000) of future processing fees to the state.

All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
