Cape Girardeau License Office contract awardedJEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Cape Girardeau License Office to MCLB Management Company, LLC in Jackson. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Cape Girardeau License Office will relocate to 51 South Plaza Way.
In fiscal year 2014, more than 66,000 transactions were conducted at the Cape Girardeau office, generating $222,806 in agent processing fees. MCLB Management Company's contract includes an annual commitment to return 5 percent (approximately $11,140) of future processing fees to the state.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
