Twin City License Office contract awardedJEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Twin City License Office to the Twin City Area Chamber of Commerce. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Twin City Area Chamber of Commerce has been the contractor of the Twin City License Office since 1973. The license office will remain at its current location at 114 E. Main St.
In fiscal year 2013, nearly 70,000 transactions were conducted at the Twin City office, generating approximately $217,500 in agent processing fees.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
