New Madrid License Office contract awarded

JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the New Madrid License Office to ABC of Southeast Missouri LLC in Sikeston. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.

The New Madrid License Office will remain at its current location at 450 Main Courthouse Square.

In fiscal year 2013, more than 17,000 transactions were conducted at the New Madrid office, generating approximately $59,539 in agent processing fees. ABC of Southeast Missouri LLC's contract includes an annual commitment to return 7 percent (approximately $4,167.73) of future processing fees to the state.

All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
