Osceola License Office contract awarded

JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Osceola License Office to Tammy L. Young in Lowry City, Mo. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.

Young has been the contractor of the Osceola License Office since 2007. The Osceola License Office will remain at its current location at Business Hwy. 13.

In fiscal year 2013, more than 14,000 transactions were conducted at the Osceola office, generating $47,667 in agent processing fees. Young's contract includes an annual commitment to return 1 percent (approximately $476) of future processing fees to the state.

All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
