April 17, 2014Carrollton License Office contract awarded
JEFFERSON CITY – The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Carrollton License Office to the Carrollton Chamber License Bureau. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Carrollton License Office will remain at its current location at 111 N. Mason.
In fiscal year 2013, nearly 17,000 transactions were conducted at the Carrollton office, generating approximately $57,000 in agent processing fees. The Carrollton Chamber License Bureau’s contract includes an annual commitment to return 0.1 percent (approximately $57) of future processing fees to the state.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
