May 31 is Deadline to Submit Proposals to Manage Marshall License Office

JEFFERSON CITY - Interested groups or individuals will have until May 31 to bid to operate the Marshall License Office. 

The Office of Administration issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) asking for bids to manage the license office.  The office is currently located at 120 N. Lafayette Ave. in Marshall.  Prospective agents can submit a bid that uses the same office space or propose a new location within the city of Marshall.

People interested in submitting a bid to operate the license office may take a tour of the current facility at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

During Fiscal Year 2012 (July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012), the Marshall License Office conducted 38,666 transactions and generated $129,242 in agent processing fees. 

Common transactions that take place at local license offices include renewing or applying for a driver license, renewing or applying for registration on motor vehicles, boats and outboard motors, and applying for titles and paying sales taxes on these units.

The RFP can be viewed at https://www.moolb.mo.gov/.  To access the Marshall License Office RFP, select "Guest" on the home page, click on "Search by Bid Number," then enter "B3Z13169" and click the "Search" button.  On the next page that opens, click on the "B3Z13169" link in the second paragraph at the top of the page.  The RFP and attachments can be downloaded on the subsequent page that opens.
