December 17, 2013Ferguson License Office contract awarded
JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Ferguson License Office to the Lions Club of Ferguson. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Lions Club of Ferguson has been the agent of the Ferguson License Office since June of 2000. The Ferguson License Office will remain at its current location at 728 S. Florissant Rd.
In fiscal year 2013, more than 63,000 transactions were conducted at the Ferguson office, generating approximately $218,273 in agent processing fees. The Lions Club's contract includes an annual commitment to return 0.50 percent (approximately $1,091.37) of future processing fees to the state.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
