December 13, 2013Monroe City License Office contract awarded
JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Monroe City License Office to the City of Monroe City. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The City of Monroe City has been the agent of the Monroe City License Office since 1975.
The Monroe City License Office will remain at its current location at 109 Second St.
In fiscal year 2013, more than 11,000 transactions were conducted at the Monroe City office, generating approximately $37,699 in agent processing fees.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
