Bonne Terre License Office contract awardedJEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Bonne Terre License Office to the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.
The Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce has been the agent of the Bonne Terre License Office since 2009. The Bonne Terre License Office will remain at its current location at 30 N. Allen St.
In fiscal year 2013, more than 47,000 transactions were conducted at the Bonne Terre office, generating $124,752 in agent processing fees. The Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce's contract includes an annual commitment to return 2 percent (approximately $2,495) of future processing fees to the state.
All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
