Department of Revenue News Release

JEFFERSON CITY - The Office of Administration, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue, has awarded the management contract for the Belton License Office to Belle Hart Schmidt, LLC in Imperial. All license office contracts in Missouri are awarded through a competitive bid process.

The Belton License Office will remain at its current location at 325 Main St.

In fiscal year 2014, more than 101,000 transactions were conducted at the Belton office, generating $333,702 in agent processing fees. Belle Hart Schmidt's contract includes an annual commitment to return 10 percent (approximately $33,370) of future processing fees to the state.

All local license offices are overseen by the Missouri Department of Revenue, but each is operated by an independent agent.
