Maplewood License Office Awarded to Mid-America Transplant Services

JEFFERSON CITY - Mid-America Transplant Services of St. Louis has been named as the new agent for the Maplewood License Office.

Deer Creek License Office Management, Inc. of St. Louis previously received a notice of award for this license office through the state bidding process.  However, due to Deer Creek License Office Management, Inc.'s failure to satisfy all of the obligations contained in the proposal, the notice of award for operation of the Maplewood License Office has been withdrawn.  The contract will now be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, Mid-America Transplant Services.

Mid-America Transplant Services was founded in 1974, and serves as a non-profit regional organ and tissue procurement organization.  The office will remain at its current location, 3238 Laclede Station Road in Maplewood.

Bidders have the option of returning part of the office revenue to the state.  The Mid-America Transplant Services bid for the Maplewood License Office includes a 15 percent, estimated to be $62,733, annual return to the state.
