Missouri Department of Revenue to host St. Louis forum on tax assistance options

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Revenue will host a free forum to provide Missourians with disabilities, the elderly and low-income citizens with information on free tax assistance that may be available to them. The forum, which will be attended by representatives with the Metro-St. Louis Community Tax Coalition and American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and from 11 to noon on Monday, Jan. 12 in the St. Louis County Public Library Headquarters at 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The forum is designed to provide information only.

"With the 2015 tax season about to begin, this forum will be an opportunity for Missourians who meet the qualifications of being disabled, elderly or low-income to obtain information about the resources readily available to them," said Department of Revenue Director Nia Ray. "We hope citizens in the St. Louis area who meet these qualifications will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to become fully informed about their tax options."
