Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday

Under Section 144.526.1, RSMo, Missouri’s Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday begins April 19 and continues through April 25. During this period, sales of qualifying ENERGY STAR certified new appliances are exempt from all state and local sales and use taxes. All qualifying sales for the Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday will have a zero percent sales or use tax rate.

The Department encourages customers to file their business tax returns through their MyTax Missouri Portal account online. All rate changes will automatically be updated on your electronic return. If you do not have an account, visit https://mytax.mo.gov and select ‘create an account’ on the main login page. If you choose not to obtain a MyTax Missouri account, you may still file your sales and use tax returns electronically as a guest.
